Another great tabling success at this Eco-Fair in the lovely Strathcona Park! Two wonderful GentleWays ambassadors Janet and Mitra, along side Aïda, GW’s founder, engaged with a stream of enthusiastic visitors from 10:00 till 3:00 under a perfect sunny sky. Grateful for the support! Fifty five individuals signed our petition intended to have crustaceans included under PAWS. We had 104 last week at the Glebe Garage Sale so we’re super pleased with our progress (272) towards our goal of 500.
The focus of the booth next to us, by the National Capital Commission, was on turtles and how to protect them. They had on display around ten types of turtles we have in our region!
There were around thirty exhibitors on various topics such as bird friendly cities, gardening, managing invasive species, camping and biking.
